NECCU receives ‘A’ rating

Northeast Community Credit Union has received a financial strength rating of “A” “Excellent” from Weiss Ratings, a provider of ratings and analyses of financial services companies, mutual funds, and stocks. This rating recognizes Northeast Community Credit Union as an outstanding credit union offering excellent financial stability for its customers, vendors and employees. Fewer than 1 percent of the nation’s credit unions meet Weiss Ratings’ criteria. Every quarter Weiss Ratings evaluates the financial strength of more than 19,000 institutions including life, health, and annuity insurers, property and casualty insurers, banks, savings and loans and credit unions.
Northeast Community Credit Union was chartered in 1952 and now serves residents in Carter, Johnson, Washington, Sullivan and Unicoi counties, with locations in Elizabethton, Johnson City and Roan Mountain.
