Beginning Monday about 1:30 p.m., the southbound portion of John Exum Parkway will be closed to all traffic while public works crews make repairs to the overhead pedestrian bridge at Science Hill High School.
Traffic patterns will be adjusted to establish two-way traffic on the northbound side of the highway. This closure will remain in place for approximately three days, after which the southbound side will be re-opened and the northbound lanes closed to allow for repairs to the other half of the bridge.
Traffic patterns will again be adjusted and two-way traffic established in the southbound lanes. Work is expected to be completed by July 30, at which time traffic patterns would return to normal.
