An Erwin man was taken to the hospital Thursday after sideswiping a car on State of Franklin Road, according to the Johnson City Police Department.
Matthew A. Morrow Logan, 26, Erwin, was traveling northbound on North State of Franklin Road on a 2007 Honda motorcycle just after 12:30 p.m. behind a 1994 Toyota Camry, driven by Lakken A. Dodge, 23, Elizabethton.
After clearing the West Walnut Street intersection, Dodge stopped the car due to traffic congestion, causing Logan to swerve and sideswipe the car, according to the police report.
Logan was taken to Johnson City Medical Center, where he was treated and released.
Dodge and the four passengers in the car were not injured, police said.
Police said Logan was improperly following the Toyota, and he was cited with driving on a suspended license.
