ETSU hires pair of assistants

East Tennessee State announced the hiring of a pair of assistant volleyball coaches on Tuesday.
Michelle Piantadosi and Lauren Baufield will join the Bucs for the upcoming season.
Piantadosi, a former All-American at Tennessee and a professional beach player, started her coaching career in 2006 at Nova Southeastern in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. She led NSU to its best season in program history. The Sharks advanced further in the NCAA Division 2 tournament under Piantadosi, winning the South Region title in 2008.
Piantadosi was a four-year starter and two-year captain at Tennessee. She played professionally in Austria and Puerto Rico.
Baufield join the coaching staff after playing four years for the Bucs. She was a four-year letterwinner from 2007-10 and a team captain her senior year. Baufield played 113 matches in her career, amassing 743 digs, 519 kills, 113 assists, 83 service aces and 76 blocks.
