Heavy flooding in Sevier County affecting major roads

SEVIERVILLE — The Sevier County Sheriff's Office is reporting severe flooding affecting major roads throughout the county this morning.

Wears Valley Road, the road connecting Pigeon Forge and Townsend, is flooded in eight places, including Waldens Creek, Willow Tree Road, Manis Road and Valley View Road, said Dispatcher Leia Loveday.

Loveday said Waldens Creek in front of Pigeon Forge Primary School is flooded.
