The license of a Bluff City licensed practical nurse has been placed on probation for three years because she failed to provide physician-ordered medical care and falsified patient records.
The Tennessee Department of Health's most recent disciplinary action report says the Board of Nursing found Vicky L. Carter, L.P.N., neglected patients and failed to properly maintain patient records.
A board order states Carter failed to administer morning blood sugar checks and insulin to patients for four days plus another two weeks prior to that in July of 2010. At the time, Carter was an employee of NHC Healthcare in Johnson City, and had been since Feb. 24, 2010. She was fired on Aug. 4, 2010.
