July 17th, 2011 10:59 pm by Jan Hearne

While in the neighborhood, check out “TART, Your Taste in Art,” an indoor/outdoor arts and craft show, which will be held from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
In its inaugural year, the event will feature 20 to 30 local artists presenting their work for sale. Look for them at Cherokee Street between the 700 and 800 block of West Locust and West Maple Streets and at The Catholic Center at 734 W. Locust St.
Two outdoor musical performances are scheduled at 801 W. Pine St., which is on the corner of West Pine and Cherokee streets. From noon to 2 p.m., Bristol Drum Circle will perform, and from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m., Wise Old River, an eclectic Americana band will perform.
All portions of the arts show are free.
Organizer Virginia Buda said profits from the show will be used for a Tree Street neighborhood art-related activity.
