Reward offered in 86-year-old Bristol, Va., woman's murder

BRISTOL, Va. — Police announced today that a reward had been offered in the investigation into the murder of an elderly woman earlier this week.
Bristol, Va., Crimesolvers, Inc., offered a $1,000 reward to anyone who providing information leading to an arrest and conviction in the Annie B. Smith murder case.
Smith, 86, was found dead Sunday in Springdale Village Apartments.
Police said tips for the reward must come through the Bristol Police Department's "Tips Line" at 466-TIPS (8477).
Callers' identities will be kept anonymous. Each caller is assigned a number, which may be used to claim the reward should the information prove fruitful in solving the case.
