Bluff City BMA names alderman

July 15th, 2011 8:55 am by John Osborne

BLUFF CITY — For the first time in well over a year, town residents have a full Bluff City Board of Mayor and Aldermen.

Under the town’s charter, the BMA consists of the mayor and five aldermen (one of whom is appointed vice mayor by fellow aldermen).

On Thursday, Sheena Cornwell was appointed to fill out two years left on the four-year alderman’s term vacated by Irene Wells last month — when Wells was appointed mayor by herself and outgoing Aldermen J.C. Gentry and Mark Weaver.
