SEVIERVILLE (AP) — Three Kentucky men have been charged with reckless homicide in connection with a Sevierville, Tenn., gun battle that killed two men in February.
Sevier County Sheriff Ron Seals identified the three Thursday as 29-year-old Jacob Sharp, 25-year-old Matthew W. Oakes and 28-year-old Marcus Chaney, all from Somerset, Ky.
Killed in the Feb. 3 shootings at an apartment building were 20-year-old Brandon Lindsey and 23-year-old Brandon Breitweiser, both from Sevierville.
According to The Mountain Press, neighbors said at the time of the shootout that they believed drug dealing was going on at the apartment unit where the shootings occurred.
