Sullivan inmate accused of lighting fire in jail

BLOUNTVILLE — A man confined in the Sullivan County for auto burglary and theft faces additional charges after allegedly lighting another inmates mat on fire.
According to Sullivan County Sheriff's Office Public Information Officer Leslie Earhart, the incident occurred shortly after 4 a.m. Sunday. The victim, Ricky Wilson, told the jail staff Jesse Hutchins lit his mat on fire.
Officers reportedly confirmed the claim by reviewing video surveillance footage, while Wilson suffered minor burns to his foot. He was treated by the facility's medical staff.
