Kingsport man accused of taking indecent liberties with a child

GATE CITY — A Kingsport man accused of taking indecent liberties with a child was among 32 people indicted Thursday on a total of 90 charges by a Scott County grand jury.

According to court records, Timothy Darby Killen, 30, of Kingsport, was indicted on two counts of taking indecent liberties with a child and a single count of contributing to the delinquency of a child. The alleged incidents that led to those charges reportedly took place on separate occasions in 2010.

Taking indecent liberties with a child under the age of 18 is considered a Class 6 felony in Virginia when the suspect is deemed to be a guardian, supervisor or custodian of the alleged victim.
