KINGSPORT — A Kingsport police investigation into online prostitution has prompted charges against three North Carolina women.
According to arrest reports vice detectives contacted the women online, with them agreeing to meet their prospective clients Tuesday in the Model City. Sgt. Tim Crawford said the women were using, a classified website similar to Craigslist. They allegedly advertised they would be in the Tricities, or willing to travel to the region.
At an undisclosed hotel within the city two women met with an undercover officer, with each allegedly agreeing to have sex for $300. Police then arrested each for prostitution, according to the report, and located two Percocet and cut straws during a search.
