Brown, Edwards & Co., a regional accounting firm, is pleased to announce the admittance of Chris Wingfield, Norman Yoder, Jeff Smith, and Ryan McEntire to the partnership.
Wingfield’s experience includes tax and related consulting services for a variety of industries including construction, real estate, technology, manufacturing, automobile dealerships and retail. He also advises clients regarding personal and business tax issues, both domestic and international. He is co-coordinator of the firm’s tax services, and has also served on a tax committee of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Wingfield received his Bachelor of Science in accounting from Virginia Tech.
McEntire serves as co-coordinator of the firm’s tax service group; his experience includes a wide variety of services and consulting for both for profit and not-for-profit organizations. He manages the tax portion of engagements in order to ensure proper compliance and continually reviews for changes needed to improve the organization’s overall tax situation. He graduated from the University of Redlands (Calif.) with a Bachelor of Science in accounting.
Yoder serves in the firm’s assurance service area, working with manufacturers, retail and service industries, local governments, not-for-profit organizations and credit unions. He is a member of the firm’s accounting and auditing committee. He is a James Madison University graduate with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting.
Smith’s experience has been concentrated in tax-related areas such as the preparation of tax returns, tax research issues, tax planning and consulting, and advising clients of compliance issues and solutions regarding federal, state and local tax laws. The business clients he serves include service industries, health care organizations, agribusiness, cooperatives, retailers, wholesalers and banks. His experience extends to a wide variety of personal and business tax returns, including income, estate, gift, franchise, excise, payroll, sales and property tax returns. He received his bachelor’s in accounting and master’s in counseling from Bob Jones University (S.C.).
