BCTI offers summer training courses

BCTI, a Microsoft Silver Learning Solutions Partner, offers a number of professional, instructor-led courses covering a wide variety of Microsoft applications and technologies, as well as hardware and software training for both new and expert computer users.
Microsoft Excel 2007 Level 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. July 13, will teach students to streamline and enhance spreadsheets with templates, charts, graphics and formulas. Topics covered include performing calculations with advanced formulas and creating formulas that reference other spreadsheets; creating and modifying tables, charts and graphic objects; creating and using named ranges; and managing and customizing worksheets and workbooks.
PowerPoint 2010 Level 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. July 21, will teach students the fundamentals needed to create and modify basic presentations using PowerPoint 2010. By the end of the course, students will be able to format text, add and modify graphic objects, add and edit tables and charts, and prepare to deliver a presentation.
A+ Certification Training, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Aug. 8-12, will build on existing user-level knowledge and experience with personal computer software and hardware. In this course, students will acquire the essential skills and information they will need to install, upgrade, repair, configure, troubleshoot, optimize and perform preventative maintenance of basic personal computer hardware and operating systems. Students taking this course are expected to have basic end-user skills with Windows-based PCs, as well as a basic knowledge of computing concepts.
