Walters State to hold CQT prep

Prepare for the Oct. 1 certified quality technician exam with a new course through Walters State’s Community Education Division at the Greeneville/Greene County Center for Technology.
The CQT class meets Tuesdays, July 19 through Sept. 20, from 6 to 9 p.m. The course is jointly offered by Walters State and the American Society for Quality Northeast Tennessee Section 1106. The cost of the class is $695. This includes all materials needed and group discounts are available. This does not include the cost of the ASQ exam.
The certified quality technician is a paraprofessional who analyzes and solves quality problems, prepares inspection plans and instructions, performs audits and does other essential tasks to maintain quality production or performance in a variety of settings. This course covers quality concepts, tools, basic statistics, control charts, metrology, calibration, blueprints, inspection, sampling and more.
