NACC Learning Center to hold July classes

The NACC Learning Center, located in downtown Johnson City, has several instructor-led classes scheduled for July.
“QuickBooks,” from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, covers the basic features of QuickBooks, which is used to record and track business transactions. All recent versions of QuickBooks are included in the class. This class is designed for beginning to intermediate users of QuickBooks.
“QuickBooks Lab — Hands On,” from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, is designed for QuickBooks users who already know the basics and want one-on-one help with their own data. Anyone who has completed the basic QuickBooks class is ready for this lab.
“Smart Phones for Business — How to Use Yours,” from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, is designed for business people who want to get more return on their investment in a Blackberry, iPhone, or Android phone. After completing this class, attendees will be able to use their smart phone to see web pages, read email, stay in touch with their business, and update Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. Lunch is included.
“Excel Essentials,” from 8:30 to 11:45 a.m. July 11, covers everything needed to know to use Microsoft Excel. Emphasis is on easy-to-remember tips and techniques that help business people get more done faster in Microsoft Excel.
“Word Essentials,” from 1:15 to 4:30 p.m. July 11, includes everything needed to know to use Microsoft Word. Customers who have taken this course report significant increases of speed and accuracy in using Word. Easy techniques to improve the overall appearance of Word documents are emphasized in the class.
“Facebook for Business — Hands On,” from 8:30 a.m. to noon July 13, is designed for business people who already use Facebook, and for those just getting started with it. Topics to be covered include creating and modifying Facebook business pages, promoting a business page, advertising on Facebook, designing custom Facebook pages, and linking Facebook to Twitter and LinkedIn. Attendees will work on their own Facebook pages under the guidance of David Perot, NACC Learning Center general manager.
