John Miles received the award at the 91st annual Tennessee 4-H Roundup and All Star Conference held July 21-25 at the University of Tennessee at Martin.
John Miles of Washington County has received the 4-H Vol State Award, the highest honor a Tennessee 4-H member may receive.
The award recognizes 4-H members who have particularly outstanding records in project achievement, leadership and service in 4-H.
Miles received the award at the 91st annual Tennessee 4-H Roundup and All Star Conference held July 21-25 at the University of Tennessee at Martin.
Miles is a senior at David Crockett High School, where he is an honor student, member of the Beta Club, Creative Writing Club and Chorus Audio Visual Team. He is Vice-President of the Washington County 4-H Honor Club, the Eastern Region 4-H All Star Deputy Chief, a 4-H Healthy Lifestyle Ambassador and a member of the Tennessee 4-H Performing Arts Troupe’s Technology Team.
Miles is the son of Clarence and Juanita Miles and the grandson of Sara Miles and Clarence and Lora Rice. He is a member of the New Victory United Methodist Church where he serves as assistant Sunday School Superintendent and is a member of the New Victory Youth Group.
