The Daughters of the American Revolution State of Franklin Chapter, The Knotty Ladies and the Tuesday Knitting Group came together in Jonesborough Saturday, Aug. 9, to gather supplies for patients at Veterans Affairs Medical Center at Mountain Home.
More than 213 skeins of yarn to be used in multiple therapy programs, cash and a large number of personal items, including 150 toothbrushes, were collected.
The Knotty Ladies was formed by Cari Jarman, Deb Burger and Pam Dunn of Jonesborough for the area’s many crocheters, knitters, weavers, spinners, fiber producers, artists, independent yarn dyers and local fiber arts guilds. The group members’ goal is to share their passion for all things fiber.
