Deputies said a city man was arrested after his wife of 20 years said he had remarried more than a year before their divorce would be heard in court.
On July 8, a criminal summons was issued for Scott M. Testerman, 51, 1803 Seminole Drive, after his wife, Gerri L. Testerman, 2971 Broad St., Apt. 157, Bristol, reported he had married another woman more than seven months before she filed for divorce.
According to the incident report from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, on June 21, Gerri Testerman said that Scott Testerman left her in September 2013, more than 20 years after their marriage in February 1993. In October 2013, she said, she was contacted by another woman, who said she had married Scott Testerman.
Gerri Testerman also told deputies she filed for divorce May 22. In the report, deputies said records from the Washington County Clerk’s office confirmed the dates of the divorce and Scott Testerman’s 2013 marriage.
After responding to the summons, Scott Testerman was released in lieu of continued custody. His arraignment was scheduled to take place Monday morning in Sessions Court.comments powered by Disqus
