Update: Hudson Drive reopened in Elizabethton

Hudson Drive has been reopened in Elizabethton after authorities closed it because of flooding concerns.

Carter County 911 operators said the area between Pizza Inn, at 101 Hudson Drive, and Burgie Street was submerged by floodwater that resulted from Sunday evening's rainstorms. At around 7:10 p.m., the road was closed, but operators said the area had since drained itself out.

Additionally, operators said part of the construction area along Gap Creek Road had been washed out by the rain, but that the Tennessee Department of Transportation had been notified.
