Miss Historic Jonesborough, Miss Johnson City shine at state level

Miss Historic Jonesborough Lexi White and Miss Johnson City Blakely Bays recently competed for the title of Miss Tennessee in Jackson, with both finishing well.

According to a press release from Elmer Harmon II, a representative for the local Miss America and Miss Tennessee pageants, Chattanooga’s White, a senior at the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga, who studies psychology, was named the third runner up for the overall title of Miss Tennessee.

Bays, from Piney Flats, who is an East Tennessee State University senior studying mass communications, won the audience-picked People’s Choice Award as well one of the Non-Finalist Award Winners.
