Shoplifting call leads to drug charges for woman

Police said they arrested a Chuckey woman Thursday on several drug charges following an investigation into a shoplifting call.

According to a news release from the Johnson City Police Department, Kathryn M. Reagan, 53, 960 Fishpond Road, was investigated after a shoplifting call in which Reagan was suspected along with another person.

During the investigation, Reagan was found to be in possession of drugs and charged with initiation of process to manufacture methamphetamine, two counts of possession of a schedule II drug for resale, possession of a schedule III drug for resale and possession of a schedule IV drug for resale.

Reagan was brought to the Washington County Detention Center, where she was being held on $50,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Sessions Court today at 10:30 a.m.

The other subject, a male, was cited for shoplifting. He was not identified in the news release.
