Off the Wall News: Forked in Knoxville

KNOXVILLE — A spokesman Thursday said no charges will be filed in an alcohol-fueled domestic spat that involved stabbing a man with a fork in the chest.

Police responded about 10 p.m. Wednesday to a report of a stabbing at in Montgomery Village, a public housing complex, according to a news release from Knoxville Police Department Sgt. J.D. Burrell.

Police found a man with minor wounds to the upper chest area. The man refused treatment from emergency medical personnel, the release states.

A preliminary investigation found that the stabbing was the result of a domestic argument that turned physical between a boyfriend and girlfriend, according to police. Police were getting conflicting versions of what occurred.
