Six Milligan golfers named AAC All-Academic

MILLIGAN COLLEGE – Mitchell Sutton (Locust Grove, Ga.) and five Milligan College women’s golfers have been named to the Appalachian Athletic Conference All-Academic team, announced the conference office.

On the women’s team, Brittany Branker (Trabuco Canyon, Calif.), Kaitlyn Harville (Morristown, Tenn.), Kayla Kmetz (Murfreesboro, Tenn.), Sabrina Smithson (Columbia, Tenn.) and Samantha Smithson (Columbia, Tenn.) were the honorees.

For Branker and Harville, it’s the second academic award this season as the pair earned Daktronics-NAIA Women's Golf Scholar-Athlete status in May.

To be eligible for the AAC’s academic award, student-athletes must maintain a 3.25 grade-point average on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved sophomore or higher academic standing.
