BUTLER — A Bristol man was killed Saturday as he was riding a motorcycle on U.S. Highway 321 and crashed head on into a pickup.
Jason M. Ramirez, 31, Bristol, was riding east on Highway 321 in a group of five motorcyclists around 3:30 p.m. when he passed three of the others at high speed and rounded a curve near Mallard Cove Road, the Tennessee Highway Patrol reported.
Ramirez collided head on with a westbound Toyota Tundra driven by Harvey Burniston Jr., 57, Butler. Ramirez was thrown from his motorcycle.
His motorcycle went back into the eastbound lane and collided with a second motorcyclist in the group. Paul Grant, 46, Butler, was ejected from his motorcycle in that crash and injured.
No charges were filed.

BUTLER — One person was killed in a collision between a motorcycle and a car on U.S. Highway 321 near the intersection with Mallard Cove Road around 3:35 p.m. Saturday.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, one other person was injured in the crash.
Police scanner reports at the time of the accident said a second motorcyclist was injured when he ran over debris from the initial impact and wrecked. No word was available on his condition.
