I absolutely oppose the use of outside money to influence Tennessee elections, especially the election of our Supreme Court justices. It astonishes me that one of our elected officials believes our justices should not be retained because he perceives them to be “anti-business” or “soft on crime.”
The persons serving a judicial role are to make decisions based upon the facts and the law, not upon whether their decisions will please a certain segment of the business community to the detriment of the rest of us.
Lt. Gov. Ron Ramsey should remember he was elected to represent a wide range of constituents, not just big business.
We should do all we can to keep outside money out of our Supreme Court.
