A 20-year-old city woman is facing a felony vandalism charge after police say she damaged the vehicle of a woman she suspected to be sleeping with her boyfriend.

According to Johnson City police, Marley M. Hopson, 302 Princeton Road, No. 2, scratched a woman's vehicle that was parked at 1800 Seminole Drive, No. 17, and caused more than $500 in damage.

Hopson reportedly admitted to police that she committed the vandalism because she believed the vehicle owner was sleeping with her boyfriend.

Hopson was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Detention Center where she was being held on $5,000 bond pending an appearance in court.
