Rachel Spady, Sajant Anand and Alicia DeVos
The National Merit Scholarship Corporation has named three Science Hill High School seniors as National Merit Finalists. Finalists are Sajant Anand, Alicia DeVos, and Rachel Spady.
To become a Finalist, students and their high school officialsmust submit a detailed scholarship application, in which they provide information about the Finalist’s academic record, participation in school and community activities, demonstrated leadership abilities, and honors and awards received. The student must have an outstanding academic record throughout high school, be endorsed and recommended by a high school official, write an essay, and earn SAT scores that confirm the student’s earlier performance on the qualifying test.
“It is exciting when our students are nationally recognized for their exemplary efforts and accomplishments,” said Melanie Riden-Bacon, Science Hill principal. “Topper Nation is very proud of these three students who represent our community as distinguished learners and as outstanding individuals.”
These students have the opportunity to compete for National Merit Scholarships, worth millions of dollars. Scholarships offered are underwritten by approximately 500 business organizations and higher education institutions that share National Merit Scholarship Corporation’s goal of honoring the nation’s scholastic champions and encouraging the pursuit of academic excellence.comments powered by Disqus
