HAMPTON — An approximately 60-year-old woman was rescued by the Carter County Rescue Squad’s Tactical Rescue Team Wednesday afternoon.
The woman apparently fell at the Laurel Fork falls, possibly fracturing an ankle and wrist, according to Rescue Squad Director Terry Arnold. She was carried out by the team and taken to Johnson City Medical Center.
The woman had another woman with her at the time of her fall.
One member of the Rescue Squad, two U.S. Forest Service personnel and two state Forestry Service personnel participated in the rescue.comments powered by Disqus
