Woman killed in car-train collision in Knox, husband injured

KNOXVILLE — A car and CSX train collided Friday in West Knox County, killing one person and injuring another, according to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office.

The deceased was identified as Teresa Davis, 52, of Ball Camp Pike. Her husband, Jack Davis Jr., 58, was identified as the injured victim.

Jack Davis was being treated at University of Tennessee Medical Center.

The crash occurred about 2:30 p.m. where the railroad tracks cross Ball Camp Road near Cureton Road and the intersection of Ball Road and Ball Camp Pike.
