Roy A. Perry

A Johnson City man was arrested Wednesday on accusations he broke a coworker's neck and nose in a fight at local heating and air conditioning business.

Roy A. Perry, 32, 150 Hidden Oaks Drive, was arrested following the incident at Barry Heating & Air Conditioning, 931 N. State of Franklin Road.

Police were called to the business about 9 a.m. Thursday and found the Landon Cash, who said Perry had assaulted him after an argument. The victim told police Perry punched him in the face and kicked him on the back of the neck.

Cash told police that Perry had regularly threatened him but had never assaulted him before Wednesday.

Patrolman Alex Garrison advised Cash of the process for talking out a simple assault warrant, but they later from 911 that Franklin Woods Community Hospital personnel reported that Cash's injuries were more serious than originally thought. Garrison contacted the hospital and learned that Cash's neck and nose had been broken in the assault.

So Garrison took out a warrant charging Perry with aggravated assault. Following his arrest, Perry was jailed in the Washington County Detention Center on $50,000 bond pending a Sessions Court appearance today.
