Orbry Adale Strouth
A Sullivan County woman was arrested for the third time this year in Johnson City on theft charges at two locations of the same store.
Orbry Adale Strouth, 25, 22 Market St., Blountville, faces her third charge of theft over $1,000 for allegedly walking out of a Wal-Mart withe merchandise she didn't pay for.
According to court records, the most recent arrest occurred Tuesday for a theft that occurred in February at Wal-Mart on West Market Street. The other two thefts happened at Wal-Mart on Browns Mill Road, the records show.
The first theft incident happened Jan. 30 at the Browns Mill store where loss prevention officers said they saw a woman put $1,139 worth of merchandise in a shopping cart and leave the store through a side door. She was soon arrested on Browns Mill Road, according to a court document.
The second theft incident happened Feb. 15 at the West Market Street location, although it wasn't reported for more than a week. In that case, investigators used surveillance video that showed a white female and Facebook to lead them to Strouth as the main suspect. In that incident Strouth is accused of taking $1,297 worth of merchandise from the store and leaving in a silver Honda Accord.
The third theft happened Feb. 20 back at the Browns Mill location where police said Strouth left the store with more than $2,000 worth of merchandise. All those items were recovered when Strouth was stopped in the parking lot, court records show.
Strouth was scheduled for arraignment Wednesday in Washington County General Sessions Court on the newest arrest.comments powered by Disqus
