Taxpayer-funded vouchers are being considered for students attending failing Tennessee public schools. Why are there any failing Tennessee public schools?
Who are the taxpayer-funded officials that are allowing the public schools to fail? Why not eliminate those individuals and use the tax money to fix the failing schools? I’m sure voucher amounts would be far less than private school tuition, so they would be awarded to those who could afford to pay the difference, excluding those who really need help.
The only rational solution is to fix the schools that the elected officials of the state have determined are not worth fixing.
