KNOXVILLE — Tennessee’s baseball team was in bounce-back mode Tuesday night after being swept last weekend in a three-game SEC series at South Carolina.
East Tennessee State didn’t let it happen for the Vols.
Clinton Freeman hit a two-run homer and picked up his seventh save of the season as the Bucs beat UT 2-1 before 2,425 fans at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.
“I hate losing,” UT coach Dave Serrano said. “I want our team to hate losing. We’ve got to start generating something to get some excitement back in the dugout and get some excitement back on the field, and part of that starts with offense.”
