KINGSPORT — A Kingsport man allegedly in the midst of a sleepless, eight-day gravel binge faces multiple charges. He's accused of threatening to kill family members and cops with a shotgun, holding his wife against her will and fleeing deputies on two occasions.
Glen M. Castle, 49, of 3225 Brownlow Road, was apprehend Friday morning following a search of a wooded area off Mill Creek Road. According to reports filed at the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office, the incident began on Thursday afternoon. That's when Castle's parents allegedly arrived home to find Castle lying on a bed and "smoking dope.
SCSO reports state that when told to leave the Kingsport residence, Castle grabbed a shotgun and threatened to "blow their (expletive) heads off." He then pointed the gun at his parents and another family member who was present.
A struggle for the weapon ensued, according to the victims' statements to police, with Castle hitting his father in the head with the butt end of the gun. When Castle was told police were going to be called, he allegedly threatened to "kill every cop" that responded. The family members then locked Castle in the basement and fled the home.comments powered by Disqus
