Police arrested a Johnson City man Wednesday in connection with a November 2013 incident where a local man was held at gunpoint for cash in his home.

According to a Johnson City Police Department news release, 19-year-old Nathan Armstead, 1319 Bell Ridge Road, Apt. 83, was accused of being one of two men who approached another man at gunpoint at his south Johnson City residence, demanding money. The victim, whose name was not in the release, was forced into his residence where he was assaulted by the men who demanded the money.

The victim recognized the two men, and police obtained warrants.

Armstead was served with the arrest warrant during a traffic violation on Wednesday, arrested and brought to the Washington County Detention Center, where he was held on $50,000 bond. His arraignment was scheduled in General Sessions Court for Thursday morning,
