Two arrested after traffic stop turns up gravel, other drugs

Police say they’ve arrested two people from Kingsport after a Thursday traffic stop showed both to be in possession of several types of illegal drugs.

A Johnson City Police Department news release said Richard Hillman, 53, and Amber Lundy, 25, both of 1147 Ridgecrest Ave., were pulled over by police, who used a K9 dog to help investigate. They were found to be in possession of suspected Gravel Alpha PVP, which is a type of synthetic drug; five different types of schedule II narcotics; one type of schedule III narcotics; marijuana; and various drug paraphernalia.

Each were charged with possession of analogue substances for resale, possession of schedule II drugs for resale, simple possession of schedule III drugs, simple possession of schedule VI drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.

They were brought to the Washington County Detention Center, where they were each held on $23,000 bond and scheduled to appear in Sessions Court today at 9 a.m.
