ELIZABETHTON — Tamatha Renee Blevins, 35, 156 Jackson Ave, was arrested Monday on charges of aggravated burglary and theft over $1,000.
The charges stem from a burglary on Dec. 13 to the residence David Lee, one of Blevins’ neighbors at 162 Jackson Ave. Lee told Investigator James Stevens of the Carter County Sheriff’s Department that someone had entered his residence through a rear window and stolen some of his possessions. Lee reportedly had found some of his property in a green sedan owned by Blevins.
Another break in the case came on Feb. 4, when Stevens received a tip that some items had been stored at another residence. Stevens said the description of the stored items matched some of property stolen from Lee. He obtained permission to search and discovered a single shot New England 16-gauge shotgun, some clothing, some Harley Davidson collectables and other items Lee had reported missing.
Other property was found at a residence on Arney Street, including a flat screen television and more clothing. The owner of the residence had been told the property belonged to Blevins.comments powered by Disqus
