Police say masked gunman robbed local pharmacy

The Johnson City Police Department is searching for a man they say robbed a local pharmacy with a handgun.

Police said that at around 5 p.m. Monday, a masked gunman stole an undetermined amount of prescription medication from The Medicine Shoppe, 1301 N. Roan St.

After threatening the clerk with a pistol, police said, the man exited the store and left in a vehicle, which at the time was believed to be a silver Dodge Dakota. Capt. Debbie Botelho would later add, however, that the type of vehicle the man fled in had yet to be determined.

In addition to the type of vehicle, police did not specify as to the type of medication, or the quantity, that was stolen.
