ELIZABETHTON — A man who had just been released from the Sullivan County Jail found himself immediately arrested by the Carter County Sheriff’s Department on several methamphetamine charges, police said.
Adam Dale Griffey, 35, 116 River Road, was arrested on initiation of the process to manufacture methamphetamine, possession of a schedule II drug for resale and two counts of promotion of methamphetamine manufacture. He is scheduled to answer the charges during the next session of Criminal Court.
The charges stem from a November grand jury indictment. Griffey was accused of initiating the manufacture Oct. 15. He was accused of purchasing pseudoephedrine, a key ingredient in manufacturing methamphetamine, on Sept. 8 and Oct. 1.
Griffey was arrested and transported to the Carter County Jail by Deputy Salvatore Caccamo. Criminal Court Judge Robert Cupp set his bond at $45,000. He is scheduled to answer the charges during the next session of Criminal Court.comments powered by Disqus
