A Hampton man was injured Monday morning when a car he was working on struck him at Girls Inc. in Johnson City.
Police said Robert A. Vestal, 57, Hampton, was working on a 2008 Chevrolet Impala in the Girls Inc, parking lot off Library Lane about 10:30 a.m. when the vehicle came out of gear and struck him.
The car continued to roll down the hill and struck a fence, causing more than $400 in damage.
Vestal was taken to Johnson City Medical Center by Emergency Medical Services.
