Police say they arrested two men Tuesday for breaking into a local business and stealing several rugs.

According a Johnson City Police Department news release, Caleb Price, 326 Tipton St., Erwin, and Cody Shaw, 1709 Lone Oak Road, were arrested following an investigation that showed both men entered AAA Oriental Rugs, 2203 McKinley Road, on Feb. 12 after the business had closed and removed several thousand dollars worth of rugs.

Price was charged with one count of burglary and theft of property under $500 and Shaw was charged with one count of burglary and one count of theft of property over $1,000. The rugs were later recovered and police said both Price and Shaw admitted their involvement in the burglary.

They were taken to the Washington County Detention Center, where they were being held on $5,000 bond. The men were scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday.
