A man is killed in a Florida movie theater, his wife is injured and his 3-year-old child left fatherless. He is shot by a retired police officer, who had the right to carry a gun. He became upset (angry) because the man was texting his daughter’s baby sitter.
The movie had not started, so the better solution for the gunman would have been to put on his big boy pants, act like an adult and find another place to sit. If he had acted like an adult, the 3-year-old would not be fatherless, the man would not be dead and the wife would not have gotten injured. In addition, the 71-year-old retired police officer would not be in jail.
Guns are not the solution.
