Frank Zappa once said, “Without music to decorate it, time is just a bunch of boring production deadlines or dates by which bills must be paid.”
It’s a good bet Collin McHenry can relate to that quote, though the mellow musician likely would frame the meaning of sound in a more subtle manner. The 33-year-old has worked at Johnson City’s Campbell’s Morrell Music for 12 years, and he enjoys what he does.
His job title?
“I don’t think anybody here really has a title — maybe number one goon,” McHenry said while stringing up a guitar at Campbell’s for perhaps the gazillionth time.
