A city woman was arrested Saturday after she allegedly assaulted her mother and threatened to kill her.
A Johnson City Police Department news release said Tamara M. Arnold, 30, 1812 Todd Drive, was charged after an investigation into a domestic assault.
The release said police were sent to the Todd Drive residence Friday, and when they arrived, they found the victim with redness on her face and abrasions on her neck. The woman told officers she had been assaulted by her daughter.
She said Arnold slapped her in the head and choked her multiple times while threatening to kill her. She was taken to a hospital for treatment of her injuries.
The release said Arnold had left the residence before officers arrived. She was arrested after returning to the home early Saturday.
Arnold was taken to the Washington County Detention Center, where she was being held on $15,000 bond. She is scheduled to be arraigned in Sessions Court on Monday at 1:30 p.m.comments powered by Disqus
