The name of a woman killed in a house fire over the weekend has been released.
According to authorities, Serena Morrow, 22, died in the residential fire that broke out around 4 a.m. Saturday at 2528 Old State Route 34.
The residence was a single-level house with a basement and a converted side apartment, which was where the fire occurred, authorities said. The Limestone Volunteer Fire Department responded to the fire and found the structure engulfed in flames.
After getting control of the fire, officials discovered a body in the residence.
Authorities had said identifying the individual would likely require DNA testing and dental-record checks due to the extent of the damage to the victim.
On Wednesday, Morrow's family asked that her name be released as the victim of the fire.
Authorities do not suspect foul play in the fire, however an investigation into the cause of the blaze is ongoing.
