Woman accused of burglarizing downtown Johnson City auction business

A 24-year-old woman was arrested Thursday on charges she burglarized a downtown Johnson City auction business and stole from the owner's home and vehicle.


Kathleen Marie Sterling, 1 Trivette Concourse, No. 8, was charged with three counts of burglary theft under $500 and two counts of theft over $1,000.


Police said the arrest resulted from a burglary reported Thursday at Kimball M. Sterling Auctioneers, 125 W. Market St. The victim reported that several items had been stolen from the business overnight and that during the last few weeks, several items had been taken from his home and a vehicle.


Kathleen Sterling jailed in the Washington County Detention Center on $60,000 bond pending arraignment Tuesday in Sessions Court.
