Johnson City police have charged two men with a Boones Creek pharmacy robbery and one of the pair in a second pharmacy robbery on West Market Street.

Jonathan Ray Pennington, 32, 903 Embreeville Road, was charged with robbing both Boones Creek Pharmacy on North Roan Street on Aug. 21 and West Towne Pharmacy on West Market on Oct. 18. Chad Raymond Miller, 31, 1903 Pleasant View Drive, also was charged in the Boones Creek robbery.

On Tuesday, police investigators received information about Pennington and Miller and their alleged involvement with the Boones Creek Pharmacy robbery. Pennington also was charged with the robbery at the West Towne Pharmacy.

Both men were arrested Wednesday and jailed in the Washington County Detention Center. Charged with two counts of aggravated robbery, Pennington was held on $80,000 bond. Charged with one count of aggravated robbery, Miller was held on $40,000 bond.

Both were arraigned Thursday in Sessions Court.
