Milligan Highway convenience center robbed Thursday morning

The Elizabethton Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred at Roadrunner Market, 1258 Milligan Hwy., Johnson City, at approximately 6:20 a.m. Thursday.

According to police, the robber entered the store and demanded cash from the clerk.  

The suspect concealed his hands, but threatened the store clerk that he was armed.  He left the business with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect was described as being a white male, approximately 6-feet tall, medium build. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing blue jeans, running shoes and a grey hooded sweatshirt. It is believed he used a T-shirt or similar article of clothing to partially conceal his face.
